TBD how anti-vaxxers will respond to Trump’s upcoming order — or the impact on pharma companies, as interagency group will examine payment incentives for vaccine development.
As private citizen + presidential candidate, Trump notoriously promoted *debunked* fears about vaccines. His widely shared messages helped rally anti-vaxxers.

Just 10 months ago, Obama praised Medicare for All as a “good new idea." Now his former VP says Democrats “should be clear” about the tradeoffs of that plan. https://twitter.com/ddiamond/status/1038109264391430145
Funny enough the person who has not spoken out on whether the (very hypothetical) passage of Medicare for All would destroy his legacy is... Barack Obama, who supported single-payer before he became a candidate for president.
One irony here is that the lawsuits against the ACA have focused entirely on the market-based aspects of the law: The mandate (2012), the tax credits (2015), the mandate again (2019). A giant Medicare expansion would have no obvious points of legal attack.

I haven’t heard much on possible legal arguments. But one fear that former Obama officials have raised with me is that Medicare for All — under a president like Trump — means that all Americans are simultaneously vulnerable to new cuts, limits, etc.
