It's unclear whether Trump has borrowed the hate-our-country slander from Carlson, but we do know two things: He's not an original thinker, and he likes "Tucker Carlson Tonight."
There have been other deployments of hate-the-country rhetoric. Colleague Brit Hume once rebuked Carlson for hate-our-country rhetoric: https://www.huffpost.com/entry/tucker-carlson-brit-hume-fox-news_n_5b988149e4b0162f4731ee11
Over the past year or so, Fox News host Tucker Carlson has applied the term to Democrats who favor dovish immigration policies: "Should people who hate the country be in charge of it?” he asked in February. https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2019/06/07/please-dont-be-fooled-by-tucker-carlson/
So: "Hate our country" was used to describe people who had killed nearly 3,000 Americans on Sept. 11.
"The terrorists hate our country and everything we stand for in the world," said Vice President Dick Cheney in 2004. There are many other examples in newspaper articles, letters to the editor, so on.
If you look on Nexis, you'll see that "hate our country" as a phrase got a lot of media rotation in the 2001-04 window, when Bush administration officials were denouncing the architects of Sept. 11.
A note on just how extreme Trump's rhetoric has become. He is saying that members of the Squad "hate our country." https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/trump-calls-on-minority-congresswomen-to-apologize-after-he-said-they-should-go-back-to-their-countries/2019/07/15/897f1dd0-a6ef-11e9-a3a6-ab670962db05_story.html

Trump's rhetoric about Omar et al. "hating" America echoes @TuckerCarlson, who has repeatedly ranted about lax immigration policies from leaders who "hate" the country because they allegedly favor foreigners over U.S. citizens. https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2019/06/07/please-dont-be-fooled-by-tucker-carlson/
