There’s something fun about writing product reviews on @yourstacks. https://yourstack.com/@nivi

We’ve tried to avoid using the word “reviews” which to me sound like work and overly critical. We need a different word. 🤔

I’ve been enjoying your stacks though!

I just stacked Quicksilver (@LoveQuicksilver). I still use Quicksilver to switch between apps. There is also a dope setting in "General -> Extras -> Hide other applications when switching applications." This keeps your screen super tidy. https://yourstack.com/@nivi/uses/quicksilver-1
I just stacked Fluid (@FluidApp) on YourStack. I have dedicated browsers set up for Gmail, Google Docs and a second Trello account. Then I use Quicksilver to switch between them with keyboard shortcuts. This is for pros only. https://yourstack.com/@nivi/uses/FluidApp

When everyone on the team is unique and irreplaceable, compensation is set more by feelings of motivation and fairness, than market rates.
High-leverage employees should get everything the founders have. If the founders gets acceleration, the employees gets acceleration.
You’ll feel like you’re over-paying high-leverage employees. That’s how you know they’re good.

It's easy to forget how much chatter there was, mostly from the press but also from VCs, about how certain it was that tech was in a bubble. And it's interesting how little there is now.
I lost the bet here (https://blog.samaltman.com/bubble-talk) from 2015 to Michael de la Maza, a TechStars mentor, and will cheerfully donate to a charity of his choice. Here are some reflections on it:

“I love bubbles. We made a lot of money in bubbles.” - Tom Perkins
That is, a technical talk is not a murder mystery. Instead of surprising them at the end, the audience should instantly know what they are getting from the title and intro. Then, after the talk, recapitulate the high points.
How to give a technical talk Tell them what you will tell them Tell them Then tell them what you told them (Old academic saying)

Merry Christmas mates!
Technology keeps getting better, but Golden Ages come and go.
Deleted Twitter from my phone. Better off staring at the clouds.
Thinking is clearly a technology. What happens when you turn it off?
